Name: Shirley A. Green-Walcott
Position Title: Chief Court Clerk
Shirley Green-Walcott was hired to fill the Chief Court Clerk position in September of 2009. From that time, Shirley Green-Walcott has worked diligently to move the division of court services forward to adhere to the upgrades of the Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC), a division of the GBI, as well as the Georgia Department of Driver Services. She also assisted in helping to implement new court software and to continually upgrade that software as the department grew and progressed.
Mrs. Green-Walcott was previously employed with the Dekalb County Sheriff’s office where she served for 27 years and also with the Long Branch Police Department in Long Branch, New Jersey, with a combined total of law enforcement being approximately 40 years.
Shirley is certified as a Terminal Agency Coordinator with GCIC, and she has held that certification since 1989. In April of 2017 she was awarded the Master Certificate of Court Administration from the Georgia Council of Court Administrators. She holds active memberships in both the Georgia Council of Court Administrators and the Georgia Records Association.
